When I was a kid, I used to watch Soul Train after American Bandstand every Saturday from 10a-12p...






..Back before we had cable (basic) we all in my hood thought the beastie boys were black...
It wasnt until I bought an issue of Cracked magazine that I realized for the first time that they were white...
I was intially bothered by Mike D's persona ( which I always thought was a form of cruel mimicry, starting but not limited to his wearing a vw hood ornament, when all the kids at the time were stealin ornaments from much more expensive cars)...namely Cadillacs, and Bmws...lol

Ive since gotten over that, And the beasties have solidified there spot as truly classic hip hoppers...and well deserving.
