~Rest In Puppychow...Goodbye Paw Paw...Martha Stewarts beloved Chow Chow..=?

UPDATE: Thank you for the many kind words, they are most appreciated. I have added a new picture of Paw Paw's final resting place at the end of this post.
As many of you know, my beloved dog, Kublai Khan Paw Paw Chow Chow Chow, was not feeling well in recent weeks and I am very heart-broken to announce his passing last Saturday, April 12, 2008 as he was approaching his 13th year. Paw Paw was a spectacular chow and an even more spectacular dog. He was always my loyal companion, displaying the most agreeable temperament. Paw Paw loved traveling with me and was always a willing model for the camera. In addition to taking part in television commercials and several national print ads, he has been part of numerous photo shoots and is a familiar face on my television show, in my magazine, and on this blog. Paw Paw’s veterinarians, Dr. Thomas Marsh of Fairfield, CT and Dr. Marty Goldstein of South Salem, NY also admired his easy-going nature, and caring for him was never a chore. Even in his final days, Paw Paw just stopped eating and drifted off to deep sleeps, where he now rests peacefully, and, I’m most confident, quite happily. I will miss him, always.

~"They killin each other"... in Bridgeport, Chicago!
So on my way home last night from an artshow in-stall in bridgeport...not really familair with the area as a whole,but I've heard lotsa stories of racist irish mobs and more recent gang bangers willing to exact there brand of justice on the nearest L7...Which i guess is me in a nutshell...
Long Story short, Im passin a common area between some housin projects and then some kid lets off like 8 rounds...im ducking and running, you know the duck and run move, whilst kids running are whizzing by me, guess its better them than the bullets.
Apparently, the Blue light camera in full view doesnt intimidate these kids at all as 5-6 police cars at the area dunkin donuts ascend on the scene....they take side streets, dip through alleys and slow down to suspect anyone on these now blank streets....all i know is....it wasnt me...
..i thought there was enough shootin in pilsen for the whole city...guess not...

His eyes did see the glory, the FBI did see the shooter...?
At 6:01 p.m. on April 4, 1968, a shot rang out. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who had been standing on the balcony of his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN, now lay sprawled on the balcony's floor. A gaping wound covered a large portion of his jaw and neck. A great man who had spent thirteen years of his life dedicating himself to nonviolent protest had been felled by a sniper's bullet.
Violence and controversy followed. In outrage of the murder, many blacks took to the streets across the country in a massive wave of riots. The FBI investigated the crime, but many believed them partially of fully responsible for the assassination.
