Obviously he can't sing. He was mostly off pitch and his timing was amateurish. What I can't believe is that you can use that much auto-turner and still be that out of tune. I just don't get it. Doesn't that guy have a real musician on his payroll that will tell him the truth? Do what you are good at; produce, arrange, rap etc...but don't sing. Only the truly insecure are as arrogant as him.

LAS VEGAS – A weary and beaten-looking O.J. Simpson was put away Friday for at least nine years — and perhaps the rest of his life — for an armed robbery in a hotel room, bringing a measure of satisfaction to those who believed the football star got away with murder more than a decade ago.

The 61-year-old Hall of Famer listened stone-faced, his wrists in shackles, as Judge Jackie Glass pronounced the sentence — 33 years behind bars with eligibility for parole after less than a third of that.

Moments before, Simpson made a rambling, five-minute plea for leniency, simultaneously apologizing for the holdup as a foolish mistake and trying to justify his actions.

He choked back tears as he told her: "I didn't mean to steal anything from anybody ... I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all of it."

The judge said several times that her sentence in the Las Vegas case had nothing to do with Simpson's 1995 acquittal in the slaying of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.

"I'm not here to try and cause any retribution or any payback for anything else," Glass said.

Bridgeport based gallery 32nd & Urban, in Chicago's south side, is feeling the pressure from the new police station being built across the street from their space on Halsted. After two years full of many great art shows they've decided to move on. From the words of the gallery...

This doesn't mean 32nd&urban is dead. We are very much alive. Peter Kepha and Lauren Pacheco will be keeping Urban alive. They have been scouting alternative locations and playing around with non-traditional gallery exhibition opportunities among other special projects like publications and arts programming.

In the mean time there'll be a closing party at their space this coming Saturday, December 6th, 2008 from 10 pm to 3 am with live art painting. DJ's TREW, INTEL, and PICKEL will perform.(words taken from FOTOFLOW)

This could very possibly be their last shebang at their cuurent home at 3201 s halsted...

Im for certain doing some live art this night...plz come on out and show yer support

CHICAGO — Studs Terkel, the ageless master of listening and speaking, a broadcaster, activist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose best-selling oral histories celebrated the common people he liked to call the "non-celebrated," died Friday. He was 96.

He was a native New Yorker who moved to Chicago as a child and came to embrace and embody his adopted town, with all its "carbuncles and warts," as he recalled in his 2007 memoir, "Touch and Go." He was a cigar and martini man, white-haired and elegantly rumpled in his trademark red-checkered shirts, an old rebel who never mellowed, never retired, never forgot, and "never met a picket line or petition I didn't like."

"A lot of people feel, 'What can I do, (it's) hopeless,"' Terkel told The Associated Press in 2003. "Well, through all these years there have been the people I'm talking about, whom we call activists ... who give us hope and through them we have hope."

Over 8 months in the making, OhNo!Doom is proud to present our latest and greatest event! This show features the largest 'Exquisite Corpse' composition ever attempted, consisting of the amazing art work of 40 top Chicago Artists, we are finally ready to bring this corpse to life!

The final installation consists of 80, 1 foot by 1 foot panels, which brings the piece to 16 feet long by 5 feet high. Concepted and Curated by OhNo!Doom, Chicago.
